Fundraising Weekend Raises $2300 for Library

The Fundraising Committee of the Reed City Area District Library Board has just held two (2) successful fundraisers. The Love Your Library Garden Walk held on July 15 and the Garage Sale held the same weekend raised a total of $2300 for the library.
The Garden Walk organized by Bette Newell included the Hoogerhyde, Richmond, Tetzlaff, Cherry and Garvon local gardens. There was also a successful garden art sale during the walk.
The Love Your Library Garage Sale was organized by Maureen Watson and held in coordination with the city wide garage sale. Merchandise was donated by the Watson, Newell, Garvon, Bell, Benzing, Noreen and Cox families. Many people contributed to the Library with their purchases and donations above the sale price of items at the sale.
The Reed City Area District Library is continuing to hold fundraisers, seek grants and accept donations to reduce the building renovation project debt.
