Resources for Kids!

Discover library collection resources available at the Reed City Area District Library for kids! From engaging books and puzzles to digital tools, we provide everything needed to inspire young minds. We have our 1000 Books before Kindergarten Program (ask the Library Staff for more information!) and our library offers engaging in-person programs, take home crafts and kits, and access to online games and reference materials for K-8 students. Our Summer Reading Program is available to help encourage reading during the summer. We host a variety of fun programs and participants can win many fun prizes during the course of the program! Children's Area and Collection

Board books, Picture books, Early Readers, and More... Alongside our collection, there is comfortable seating to enjoy the library. Puzzles are available in the children's section. Take and make kits are available near the front desk for kids and families every month!

Community Room

Library Programs

The Reed City Area District Library holds programming for children year round, including take and make kits for crafts at home. Passive programming is available inside the library during open hours. The staff provide unique programs to the Reed City Area that encourage life-long learning and literacy. Check out our Programming page for more details. Our yearly Summer Reading Program is available to all kids ages 0-18, where we encourage reading outside of school.
