40 Books before Graduation

  • 40 Books Before Graduation is a year-round reading challenge for teens in grades 9-12! The goal is simple, read 40 books before your high school graduation. If you start in 9th grade, that is just 10 books per year!

  • How it works: Simply register using the form below and stop in to the library to receive a paper reading log to track every 10 books. For every 10 books you read, bring your paper reading log back to the library to receive a prize! Participants can turn in one paper log each month. Once you reach 40 books before your high school graduation, you'll receive a special prize! One completed program per participant.

  • What books qualify: Any books from the RCADL or Libby with the exception of JE picture books or board books.

  • Why should I sign up? Why not! This reading challenge is a great way to explore what interests you beyond required school reading. It also allows you to explore different formats of reading including audiobooks, eBooks, and graphic novels!
